A Great Grooming Experience
For over twenty years my passion and love of animals has driven me my whole life. Having always wanting to be a veterinarian and not being able to afford to go to school, I have always worked in some capacity with animals. From working with racehorses to care taking peoples pets in their homes as well as in my home, I’ve seen it all.
I finally had the opportunity to attend grooming school in Seattle Washington. Once I returned, I worked as a groomer for two veterinarians.
In the mid 90s, I started my own grooming business and set up shop in the Northfield area as Country Groomer. Business flourished, and over ten years later, I needed to seek a larger space. I have found what I hope to be the ideal space in Barre, Vermont. With the help of a U-Haul truck—and some great friends—we packed everything up and moved.
People come to us from all over Vermont. I remember mentioning to a few long time clients that my husband and I were thinking about moving back to southern Vermont and their response was consistent—they told me that they wouldn’t like the commute but they would do it and it would be worth it. To me that was one of the best compliments I could ever get.
I am a member of and certified by the NDGGA. (National Dog Groomers Association) I am also a member of NEPGA. (New England Pet Groomers Association. Both JoAnne and myself are ex-Veterinarian Technicians, and are more than capable of handling your pet.
